Congratulations coach, after a tough start to the season how important was this victory for the team’s confidence and momentum moving forward?

I am very happy for the boys, I think they deserve this victory. I think they put in a big effort and also my feeling as a coach today, we were better like the last season, I think we managed better situation, different situations infact. During the game we kept the possession of the ball, playing forward, trying to arrive in the opening goal. I think we created a lot of chances. Maybe if we could have scored early and closed the game before, if we had scored the third goal we compete very well against a very strong team, a very physical team. I think we suffered, and we knew that we need to suffer to get the victory. We managed the game well because I think we improved, similar teams like Jamshedpur and Chennai. We did some mistakes against Chennai, but today I think the team improved and learned about this and we managed the situation better. I am very happy because finally we got three very important points and also the atmosphere in the stadium was amazing. I think every time a lot of supporters are coming here and they are pushing us in difficult moments and I am very happy for these people because these people also deserved this victory.

The team looked much more composed today both in attack and defense. What changes or adjustment did you make in preparation for this match that contributed to the victory?

Being honest, before the start of the game I had some doubts about the lineup but finally I put the list on the table and I told myself that I need to choose the team I think can help more to us to keep the possession of the ball. If we are thinking about the opponent maybe we are thinking we need to defend more, maybe the first lineup is different. But using players today like Isak, Jerry I think we had the possession on the ball. We took advantage in the spaces between lines because we know the opponent team is pressing high but also they gave to us some spaces between the lines and I am happy with the performance of the players who started the game and the players coming from the bench who contributed in the last half of the game.

Jamshedpur came into this match unbeaten, but your side managed to control key moments. What was the tactical approach you focused to neutralise their strength?

Be loyal in our style of play. I think today we showed that we are loyal in our style of play and we are a stronger playing like this. I think in the last period of the game we tried to keep the ball, also we Tried to keep the possession. In previous games especially against Chennai, we lost the possession of the game, we went back so deep and we suffered. I think today the approach in this kind of situation was better and the boys did it.

What was the tactical approach on the second half of the game?

On the tactical approach for the second half was that, in the first half we need to decide if we want to defend the result, we to score the third goal. If we are trying to defend the re going back giving the possession of the ball to the opponent team and defending during long period you know in our box we are going to suffer because we are not ready to do it. But obviously you are playing against a very good team and sometimes it’s not about what you want, it’s about how the opponent team allows you to do something. But I think in the second half also I’m happy because we managed the game well. We also gave some chances and they they didn’t have a lot of chance, clear chances compared with the previous two games. I think we allowed against Chennai, against Punjab to have clear chance and conceded clear chances for the opponent team. Today I don’t remember any clear chances from the opponent team to score one on one against us. I think we were compact. We didn’t have the distance between the lines with the ball and without the ball and we improved a lot in this kind of game.

You talked about motivation and professionalism in your last press conference. Have you gained the motivation and become the best of yourselves after this victory?

No I think the players have the highest level of motivation. I think nothing changed now, for some people maybe winning now we are now as I told you before in the pre match conference, we are amazing now and one week ago we were a disaster. For us I think the players today showed improvement. This is important. But we need to keep them to have balance, not when you are winning everything is amazing and when you are losing is everything is a disaster. We need to improve and we need to learn about today’s game a lot of things also and this is my job as a coach you know. This is my work. The players need to know everything wasn’t amazing today and we need to improve in some of aspects of the game and we need to keep working if we want to win the next game against Kerala.

Coach, the home crowd was in full voice today. How much an impact do you think their support had on the team especially in a crucial match like this?

Too much I think. I am very happy because when I came here as a coach and the first game I remember with my staff speaking to a few people in the stadium. They are very loyal people, very loyal people because they are always with us. Helping us, pushing us to do better. But I am very happy because in every game I am feeling that more people are coming to the Stadium. This is amazing because finally if you are giving something to the people, the people are coming here. But I am very happy and I want to be grateful to the people because they are coming from the game we lost and it was painful in the first game at home. When we lost the game we thought that, when more people are coming to the stadium, we are losing and maybe in the next one we will be losing people to come into the stadium. But this situation did not happen and made me very happy and I am very very happy because we can give them what they deserve and hopefully in the next game at home before the FIFA break we will have more people and we can celebrate together the victory against Kerala. Thank You.
