The defence was organised today but the full backs and wingers were not ready to break on the counter. Was the team playing it too safe?
No this is not about the playing. The plan was exactly as always but you need to analyze which team you have in front of us sometimes is not about what we want it’s about what we can do. I think the players did an amazing job especially in the second half, in the first the transitions don’t allow to us to have the possession of the ball and we need to run a lot and the situation affect to us in the second half but I think in the second half we were good and organized. In terms of defense we don’t give them spaces and I think we didn’t concede a lot of chances to the opponent team compared with another teams I think we improved and the level of the team we are facing today is a very strong team also we had chances and I think we can score one goal more but this is the rest and I think my feeling is the rest is far.
Coach, as we saw there were very loose passes in the midfield today so how are you trying to analyze the situation?
No I don’t think we have a lot of mispasses, we need to check the database and check about this one I think you’re telling about some tactical aspects. I respect your opinion but my feeling is not the same I think we even maybe the opposite one because I don’t think we use a lot of passes in between and our problem in the first half was to want to arrive very quickly to the opponent goal and losing the ball in transitions allowing to the opposition team to run their spaces. They have a very dangerous players within spaces like Liston, Manvir and I don’t feel but I respect your opinion.
Would Diego be more effective as the starting forward?
When you as a coach have to play like Roy and Diego, it’s an amazing problem for me. I think in the last game Diego played as a striker Roy did a big contribution for playing as a winger and today for the profile of the central forward I felt as a coach that Roy is a better option. It is not about who playing is better than other, it’s about today’s game and analyze the opponent and I need to choose, maybe I will maybe I won’t but I am happy after the game looking the performance of Roy. He had a chance and he can score one goal more he performs very well but I have two amazing players finally as a coach we to manage the situation in the best way possible.
Are we looking at some replacements in the Winter transfer window?
Let’s see what happens. Always as coaches, as a club if you can improve we need to do something but this is not the decision we are working in the club right now, speaking about options but thank you.
Coach today we saw Mourtada Fall and Saviour Gama had a amazing defensive display how would you like to rate them today?
They were amazing today. I don’t like to speak about individuals because finally is the team I think they did an amazing job because Amey also played an amazing game and Amey was a very good in defensive situation. He’s not easy to defend running one behind the opponent defensive line. I think the most important thing today is not about two or three players but the team.
Finally are you happy with the one point or it’s like two points lost?
No the feeling, if you are analyzing our position on the day you cannot be objective today in terms of the result. But analyzing the game I think it is fine because this The opponent team also play good game.
